Reverend Kadia Edwards was installed on Sunday, May 15, 2011 as Mount Level’s Youth Minister. Rev. Edwards has been working with the youth at Mt. Level since November 2010.

She is the oldest of six children and hails from St. Catherine, Jamaica. Through transitions in her youth, Rev. Kadia moved to the state of Connecticut. She is a 2005 graduate of Howard University in Washington, DC and a 2008 graduate of Duke University, where she received her Master’s of Divinity Degree.

Rev. Edwards answered her call to ministry in 2002 while serving as a Chapel Assistant at Andrew Rankin Memorial Chapel at Howard University. She was ordained in 2009 at the American Baptist Church.

She has worked on many projects and with many organizations that have tremendous impact on the lives of young people, such as: National Foster Youth Advisory Council, Correctional Youth Alliances, Project Rising Sun, and Wake Tech Fostering Bright Futures Program. Rev. Edwards has worked extensively with the Court Appointed Special Advocate Program in Washington, DC. She continues to allow God to stretch and cultivate her gifts and believes God will use her to impact and transform the lives God sends her way.
